PPP Green Complex PLC and KMITL Partner to Launch “Palm University” as a Model for Sustainable Palm Development

On June 23, 2026, PPP Green Complex Public Company Limited (PPPGC), led by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Weerayuth Lorsathien along with the executive team, held a strategic discussion with the faculty members of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL). The meeting aimed to establish a framework for co-founding "Palm University." This landmark initiative will transform a 500-rai palm plantation at KMITL’s Chumphon Campus into a premier model site for experiential learning, cutting-edge research, and comprehensive palm oil complex development. The project will actively integrate digital technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize crop yield monitoring, analyze cultivars, develop robust databases, and drive collaborative research.
This project is set to provide students in Chumphon and neighboring provinces with invaluable, hands-on learning experiences in a real-world operational environment. Furthermore, it will serve as a vital knowledge repository and educational resource for local farmers, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders across the palm supply chain.
Under a shared vision and mission, both institutions are committed to developing this designated area into a central hub for palm oil knowledge and oleochemical innovation. By seamlessly connecting and integrating the capabilities of the academic, industrial, and agricultural sectors, this partnership will generate powerful synergies. Ultimately, the collaboration aims to elevate the national palm industry, foster human capital development, empower local farmers, and steer Thailand’s palm oil and oleochemical sectors toward a highly sustainable future.
As the operator of Thailand's first fully integrated palm oil complex, PPPGC is well-positioned to leverage its extensive industry expertise and operational experience to ensure the project’s success. The company envisions utilizing the insights and innovations gained from this partnership to continuously enhance production efficiency and quality standards across its own plantations and its extensive network of partner palm oil growers.
